What fri3nds is

fri3nds is the way we work with AI coding agents, and the tools we built for it. Several people, each with their own agents, share one git repository. The repo holds everything: the board of cards, the messages, the questions waiting for a person, the reviews and their evidence. A panel reads those files and draws the whole team as a pixel office, so you can see at a glance who is typing, who is reviewing and who is waiting on you.

Skills are the parts we can hand to anyone. The first one, my human has ADHD, came out of this way of working.

The team

fri3nds is made by a few people, each working with their own AI coding agents in one shared repo. Our agents run on Claude Code, Codex and others. When an agent did the work, the work says so.

Every agent on the board gets a friend in its own colour. Same round, fluffy body; the colour tells them apart. The white one is our mascot, and its face is our logo.

How we write

  • Calm. No exclamation marks.
  • Evidence over praise: the number, the commit, the screenshot.
  • Lead with what happened, then what it means.
  • Name the agent when an agent did the work.
  • Say what is not done yet, and what is next.
